Money Astrology: Other Indicators of Money and Abundance in your chart
Fortuna
Fortuna is the Roman goddess of fortune and of fate, and she is asteroid number 19 in the celestial chart. Fortuna represents the wheel of fortune.
Fortuna in mythology determined if a person’s luck would be good or bad, or a bit of both, since Fortuna is the one who spins the wheel of fortune. Fortuna is the symbol of the old maxim, “what goes around comes around,” and she shows us how we can be up one moment and down the next.
Our Fortuna placement also shows us how we view good luck and fate in general and perhaps where we may experience the highs and lows of abundance.
To find Fortuna in your chart use the extended chart selection in astro.com and add ’19’ to additional objects under the Manual Entry section.
Fixed Star Regulus
Regulus is one of the most fortunate stars in the heavens.
It portends glory, riches, success and power to all who are born under its influence.
If you have planets at the position 28/29 Leo this can (depending on the planet and its aspects) predict wealth.
Look to your chart and see if any planets especially Venus, Jupiter, Neptune or Pluto are at 28/29 degrees Leo.
29 Degrees Cancer
Called the Millionaire degree it most often indicates wealth through inheritance, family business or real estate.
Look to 29 degrees Cancer in your astrology chart and see if you have a money planet there such as Venus, Jupiter, Neptune or Pluto.
Money Astrology: The Money Houses
There are a number of houses in the chart that give us insight into your money potential with the most significant being the 2nd and 8th house.
The 2nd House & Money
The second house rules possessions, resources and the ability to generate your own money. The 2nd house traverses one’s financial status, along with the attitudes and conditions that help or hinder it. If you want to dive into your money story – the 2nd house is the place to look.
Caroline Myss has written that the key to your power in the world – or lack of it – lies in the 2nd house.
Being a succedent house the role of the 2nd house is to support the themes of the 1st house – your identity. The second house is everything that you call “mine”.
The 2nd rules both what money can buy (possessions and material resources) and what it can’t buy (talents, self-esteem, and values).
The second house concerns your wealth, whether you will be rich or poor; it concerns all your movable goods (whilst immovable property should be considered from the fourth house) and your safety and security. It also represents basic necessities.
The second house reveals your ability to handle money as well as your earning potential It can also show what talents may bring wealth.
If you’re unhappy in your career, the work you’re doing may not utilize your natural talents–described by the collection of sign and planets in and ruling your 2nd house.
Your 2nd house requires focus, and you have to get real in this house and do something with what you find there. You need to learn how to use, protect, and manage its resources.
The 2nd house is critical within business astrology particularly for entrepreneurs as it tells the story of your ability to generate money from your strengths and resources.
Look to your 2nd house sign and any planets there for more information about your ability to generate resources and your natural talents.
The 8th House & Money
The 8th house in Astrology is a succedent one and is ruled by the zodiac sign of Scorpio and planet Pluto. It is considered the house of sex, power, of other people’s money, death and rebirth. It also rules the occult, magic and mysticism and other transformative experiences.
The eighth house rules money accumulated through partnership or marriage and more generally other people’s money so think inheritance, debt, taxes, inheritances, joint finances (spouse/partner) and loans.
This house is on an axis with the 2nd house (exact opposite house) and is an axis of money (2nd – your money; 8th – other people’s money).
The 8th house rules the spouse’s resources, and observing the planets located inside can show the financial situation of the significant other that you will bond with.
Inheritances and gifts are to be seen here too and the 8th house shows what we receive when other people die or transform. These gifts can be karmic and the universe balancing the odds in our favour.
It can indicate the way you will die, or your experiences connected with death and tt can indicate deaths of other close people.
However, don’t be concerned about death when you observe the 8th house, as it mostly refers to symbolic death, transformation and endings.
