The Astrological Keys to Overcoming Business Blocks

Imagine this: What if some of the most persistent struggles you’ve faced in business—like hesitation around pricing, lack of visibility, or trouble attracting the right clients—were written in the stars? Astrology, a powerful tool for self-discovery, helps us see the energy patterns that shape our approach to business, illuminating not only the blocks but also the keys to our business’s unique growth path.

In the last blog, I explored how blocks show up in your natal astrology chart; in this post, we’ll explore how your business chart reveals patterns you can harness to overcome your business blocks and create a soul-aligned strategy for success. If you’re ready to unlock these cosmic clues, you’re already one step closer to your breakthrough!

How to Recognize Business Blocks in Your Business Chart

Every entrepreneur’s journey is unique, and so are their blocks. Here’s a quick guide on how astrology reveals common entrepreneurial struggles—and helps us to overcome them with purpose:

The Visibility business block

In business astrology, the 10th house reveals your business’s path of least resistance to success and its most authentic way of achieving recognition. It reflects how the industry and broader world perceive your brand and how visible your business is. If your business struggles with visibility, brand recognition, or promotion, exploring the planets in your 10th house and the aspects they make —and how they shape your business’s public image—can offer valuable insights.

For example, in my business chart, Mars in Gemini in the 10th house is opposite the Moon in Sagittarius in the 4th house. This configuration can create a tendency for my business to adopt a “hermit” energy, focusing inward rather than being as visible and engaged with the world as it is meant to be. To find balance, I need to honour the business’s desire for writing, teaching, and learning—done from my home office—while also ensuring it steps into the spotlight to be seen and heard on a broader scale through speaking at, and attending events.

The Enoughness business block

In a business chart, Chiron points to an area where the business may be particularly vulnerable. This placement can reveal deep struggles, often tied to the feeling of “not enough”—whether that’s around capability, resources, or even the right to succeed.  This feeling can manifest as the business putting off an energy of not being enough or the business owner bringing this energy into the business.

When Chiron is in the 1st or 2nd house of a business chart (representing the business brand, brand values, money, and core strengths), it can signal blocks around worth, validation, or financial confidence. These businesses might experience challenges in feeling capable, skilled, or well-resourced enough to thrive.

Similarly, if Chiron has challenging aspects—like squares or oppositions to other key planets—it can add layers to these feelings, highlighting blocks around being “worthy” of success, influence, or visibility.

However, once this wound is acknowledged and worked with consciously, it can become a profound strength. Businesses with a Chiron wound often have the potential to deeply connect with their audiences, helping clients and customers feel seen, heard, and valued because of the business’s journey through these insecurities. In this way, Chiron transforms from a wound to a beacon, guiding the business to serve with authenticity and empathy.

The Communication business block

In a business chart, Mercury’s placement reveals how well the business communicates, influences, and connects with its soul-aligned clients. When Mercury faces tense aspects—such as squares or oppositions to Saturn or Neptune—it may create blocks or confusion around messaging, leading to struggles with clarity and the ability to influence effectively.

Communication challenges may also arise if Chiron, Saturn, or the South Node is in Gemini, as these placements often carry a karmic element. This can reflect unhealed patterns, past limitations, or unresolved baggage the business owner brings into their venture. In such cases, addressing personal blocks and limiting beliefs around communication, being heard, or feeling intelligent and capable can be transformative.

By gaining awareness of and working with these placements, your business can clarify its voice, communicate authentically, and build a deeper, more resonant connection with its audience.

The Motivation business block

The moon phase under which your business was “born” reveals much about its natural energy flow and where it might encounter challenges. For instance, a New Moon business often holds a strong vision and fresh ideas but may struggle with taking those crucial first steps toward implementation. In contrast, a Full Moon business may shine during the final stages of a project but risk never reaching that point without enlisting initiators and implementers to handle the foundational work. Your natal moon phase and the distribution of Cardinal, Fixed, and Mutable energies in your chart also influence this dynamic.

Mars’s placement in your business chart also plays a key role in understanding motivational challenges. If Mars is in a water sign—particularly Pisces—it can indicate tendencies toward procrastination or resistance. Similarly, a 12th house Mars might struggle with taking visible action, as it may feel hidden or repressed. Mars in tense aspects, such as squares or oppositions, with planets like Saturn (highlighting discipline and structure), Neptune (causing confusion), Uranus (creating erratic or inconsistent energy), or Chiron (pointing to deeper blocks) can further hinder momentum.

For example, my business was established during a Full Moon, but my natal chart features a balanced mix of Cardinal, Fixed, and Mutable planets, along with a determined Mars in Capricorn, which helps me overcome this potential block. My business, Mars, is conjunct with the sun and the MC angle, so it is powered up and a visible driving force of my business. It opposes my moon, which is more of a visibility than a motivation block, as discussed earlier.

Recognising and addressing these influences allows for a more aligned, motivated approach to business growth and success.

Why Astrology Can Be Your Business Block Breakthrough

Business astrology isn’t just a map of your business’s purpose and strengths —it’s a powerful tool that helps us make sense of recurring limiting patterns, struggles, blocks, and blind spots in our business. It offers answers to questions like:

  • Why can’t my business make traction and be more recognised and respected?
  • Why does my business struggle with imposter syndrome, even after success?
  • Why does it feel as if no one is listening to what my business has to say?
  • Why does my business seem stuck at a particular stage of the action-taking cycle?

These insights can lead to business breakthroughs. By knowing where your business may get stuck and need extra support, you can start taking aligned action to overcome blocks instead of resisting change.
