Something changed at the end of July, and you may have felt it before you had language for it.
That is the nodal shift in 2026. On 26 July, the North Node moved into Aquarius and the South Node moved into Leo, and they will hold that axis until March 2028. For the next eighteen months, your business is being asked a question it has been able to sidestep for a very long time.
Not are you good at this. You are. That was never in question.
The question is whether the business can hold what you are good at without you carrying every single hour of it on your back.
What Actually Happened on 26 July 2026
The lunar nodes are the two points where the Moon’s orbit crosses the ecliptic. They are not planets. There is nothing to point a telescope at. They are mathematics, and yet they carry more weight in a business chart than almost anything else, because they describe direction rather than event.
The South Node holds what is already known. The skill you could perform in your sleep. The identity that has been paying your bills.
The North Node holds what is not yet familiar, and therefore not yet mastered, and therefore mildly uncomfortable to move toward.
The nodes travel backwards through the zodiac, entering a sign at 29 degrees and working their way down to 0. They change signs roughly every eighteen months. And because eclipses land where the nodes are, the whole eclipse story relocates with them.
From January 2025 to July 2026 the axis was Pisces and Virgo. Trust against control. Service against perfectionism. That chapter is now closed.
From 26 July 2026 until March 2028, the axis is Aquarius and Leo. The last time these two signs held it was 2007.
The South Node in Leo: The Model You Are Being Asked to Loosen Your Grip On
Leo, in business terms, is the business that runs on you.
Your face. Your voice. Your presence in the room. The one-to-one session where the value passes directly from you to her, in real time, in an hour that only ever exists once.
There is nothing wrong with that model. It is how almost every astrologer starts, and it works, right up until the moment it becomes the whole structure. Then the maths turns against you. Your income becomes a direct function of your hours. Your growth becomes a direct function of your visibility. And the only lever left to pull is more of yourself.
Which is roughly the point at which most talented astrologers conclude they have a discipline problem, or a confidence problem, or a marketing problem.
It is not you. It is the model.
The South Node in Leo is not asking you to become invisible. Your warmth is not the problem. Your gift is not the problem. Your face is not the problem.
What is being asked to loosen is the dependency. The arrangement where nothing moves, nothing sells, and nothing reaches anyone unless you are personally standing in front of it.
Jupiter entered Leo on 29 June 2026 and stays until 26th July 2027, which means it is travelling alongside the South Node for the first time since 1990.
Jupiter expands whatever it touches. So the model you are being asked to outgrow is about to have a very good year.
The old model will not fail you into changing. It will succeed you into staying. That is the actual test of this transit.
Bookings will come. The sessions will land beautifully. Someone will tell you that you changed her life, and she will mean it. And every bit of that is real.
It is also the most seductive possible argument for doing nothing differently.
Watch the three moments when Jupiter conjuncts the South Node exactly: mid November 2026, and twice more across the first half of 2027. Those are the windows where doubling down on the old model will feel not just tempting but obvious. Notice the pull. You do not have to obey it.
The North Node in Aquarius: Where the Growth Actually Is
Aquarius is the collective. Systems, groups, networks, communities, categories. Ideas that travel without you carrying them on your hip.
In business terms, the North Node in Aquarius points toward the model where your work reaches more than one person at a time, and your income stops being a straight multiplication of your hours.
That can look like:
- A group container instead of a queue of individual sessions
- A body of work with your name on it, a method or a framework or a curriculum, that teaches when you are not in the room
- A community that gives people a reason to stay, rather than a reason to book again in six months
None of that requires you to become a different person. It requires the thing you already do brilliantly to be housed somewhere other than your own diary.
There is a second layer here worth knowing. Pluto has been in Aquarius since 2024, rebuilding systems in the background, largely without an audience. The North Node arriving turns that background process into the main event. The two conjunct exactly at 4 degrees of Aquarius in November 2027, which is the deep water of this cycle.
Between now and then, the astrologers who build something with structure underneath it will look, in hindsight, like they had impeccable timing. They will simply have been reading the sky.
The Eclipses: Your Timing Markers
Eclipses follow the nodes, so the eclipse story has moved onto the Aquarius and Leo axis.
12 August 2026, Total Solar Eclipse at 20 degrees Leo. The first eclipse on the new axis, and it has already passed. Worth looking back at the fortnight around it. Something in the old model was likely taken out of your hands, or lost its shine.
6 February 2027, Annular Solar Eclipse at 17 degrees Aquarius. The first proper North Node door of this cycle. A good window for opening something that involves other people.
Further Leo and Aquarius eclipses run through 2027 and into January 2028. If you have planets or angles within two or three degrees of these points, the effect is personal rather than atmospheric.
What This Looked Like in My Own Business
I remember the week my calendar was completely full and I felt nothing but dread.
I had wanted that. I had worked for that. Every hour booked, every reading paid for, the exact picture of success I had been told to aim at. And I sat looking at it and understood that a full calendar was not the goal. It was the trap. Because the only version of “more” available to me from there was less sleep.
So I stopped selling hours and started building something that could hold what I knew without needing me present for every transmission of it. A method. A certification. A room where astrologers could learn the thing rather than book me to do the thing.
It was slower than a reading. It was far less immediately gratifying than someone crying happy tears on a Zoom call. And it is the only reason there is a business here at all, rather than a very tired woman with a good reputation.
That was my own Leo to Aquarius crossing. I just did not have the transit to explain it at the time.
Where to Look in Your Own Chart
Find Aquarius and Leo in your chart, and in your business chart if you have one.
Whichever two houses they occupy, that pair is now in active dialogue. One is asking for release, one is asking for investment, and they are the same conversation seen from two ends.
Three things worth checking:
- The houses. Aquarius shows where to build. Leo shows what to stop leaning on.
- The degrees. The nodes travel from 29 back toward 0, so anything you have in late Aquarius or late Leo is being touched first.
- Fixed sign placements. Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius planets and angles all feel this cycle more directly.
Reflection Questions for the 2026 Nodal Shift
Sit with these somewhere unhurried. A notebook, a warm drink, no laptop.
- Where in my business am I the only load-bearing wall?
- What am I still selling by the hour that could be taught, grouped or written down?
- Which part of my visibility is genuine leadership, and which part is performance I have grown tired of?
- What would still generate income next month if I were unable to work for three weeks?
- Who are my people, and do they have anywhere to belong, or only somewhere to buy?
- What have I been calling a marketing problem that is actually a model problem?
- If the applause stopped tomorrow, which part of this work would I still want to do?
- What is the smallest structure I could build in the next ninety days that reaches more than one person at once?
The Sentence to Carry for the Next Eighteen Months
The work is not asking to be smaller. It is asking to be held by something other than me.
