A solar eclipse is the phone call you didn’t expect.
A lunar eclipse is the thing you already knew, finally said out loud.
If February and August’s solar eclipses were about what arrived, the two lunar eclipses of 2026 are about what surfaced. And they land somewhere less glamorous than the stage. They land in the engine room.
In 2026 we’ve had four eclipses on two different axes. The solar pair fell across Leo and Aquarius, the visible story of your business, the performance and the community. The lunar pair falls across Virgo and Pisces, which is the private story. How the work actually gets done.
Both rooms of your business, lit in the same twelve months.
What a lunar eclipse actually is
A lunar eclipse is a full moon with the amplifier on.
At a full moon, the Sun and Moon face each other across the sky and something reaches its culmination. A lunar eclipse is that same opposition, but the Earth slides directly between the two, and its shadow falls across the face of the Moon. She turns copper, then rust, then a deep smoky red. The blood moon.
Unlike a solar eclipse, which is only visible along a narrow path, a lunar eclipse can be seen by roughly half the planet at once. You don’t need special glasses. There is nothing to protect your eyes from, which is a decent metaphor for the whole event. You can look straight at it.
We get two or three lunar eclipses a year. Like their solar counterparts, they arrive in pairs and families, landing on an axis of two opposite signs, running in cycles of around eighteen months. So no eclipse is ever really a single event. It’s one chapter in a much longer story.
A solar eclipse is a new moon, so it opens something. A lunar eclipse is a full moon, so it closes something. And where solar eclipses tend to bring events in from the outside, lunar eclipses bring things up from the inside.
Why lunar eclipses matter for your business

That’s the whole distinction, and it changes how you work with them. A lunar eclipse rarely arrives as a new client or a lost contract. It arrives as a feeling that has finally become too big to keep managing around.
In a business, that looks like the resentment you feel about the client you keep discounting for. The Sunday night when you realise you cannot sustain this schedule for another year. The number in the spreadsheet you have been not-quite-looking at. The offer you have outgrown but keep selling because it converts. The team member you knew wasn’t right three months ago.
None of that is new information. That’s the point. The lunar eclipse doesn’t deliver news. It removes your ability to keep ignoring it.
The window itself runs for around thirty six days, what astrologers call the eclipse season, and the story it starts can take six months or more to finish telling. Lunar eclipses are also often felt most strongly in the week beforehand, and they tend to land in the body first. Drained, wired, weepy, wide awake at 3am for no reason you can name.
If you are sensitive, ADHD, autistic or living with a nervous system that runs loud, the fortnight around an eclipse can be a lot before it’s clear. That isn’t a malfunction, and it isn’t a sign something is wrong with you or the business. It’s the system getting your attention, usually about the exact thing that’s ready to change.
This is where astrology earns its place at the business table. It doesn’t tell you what will happen. It tells you which room of your business the light is falling on, so you can decide what to do about it.
The two lunar eclipses of 2026
Both fall on the Virgo and Pisces axis. One is about how hard you work. The other is about how much you give away. Between them, they name the two most reliable ways a talented astrologer stays broke.
3 March 2026: Total Lunar Eclipse at 12’51 degrees Virgo
The first landed in early March at 12’51 degrees of Virgo, and it was a total eclipse, the deepest kind there is.
It fell on the south node side of the axis, which is the releasing side. Virgo is the sign of the work itself. Systems, process, service, refinement, health, the daily operations, the craft, the quality control, the endless improving.
In business terms, this eclipse came for the over-functioning.
The website you rebuilt for the third time instead of selling anything. The offer you refined for eight months because it wasn’t ready. The client email you write from scratch every time because writing a template feels like cheating. The tasks you keep doing yourself because explaining them takes longer than just doing them.
Perfectionism wearing professionalism as a costume.
Meanwhile, the Sun sat opposite in Pisces, on the north node, pointing at the antidote: trust, vision, and the willingness to hand something over before it’s perfect.
Cast your mind back to the first fortnight of March. What broke, or what did you finally admit you could not keep carrying? An exhausted week. A system that fell over. A resignation, yours or someone else’s. That wasn’t random. That was the opening move.
28 August 2026: Partial Lunar Eclipse at 5 degrees Pisces
The second arrives on 28 August at just under 5 degrees of Pisces. Technically it’s a partial eclipse, but over ninety per cent of the Moon passes into Earth’s shadow, so it will read as very nearly total to anyone watching.
March’s eclipse was visible across Australia and Asia. This one will be visible in the Americas, Europe and Africa.
This one falls on the north node side, the side that pulls forward. It’s also the last Pisces eclipse in a series that opened in September 2024 and closes in February 2027, and it carries a square from Uranus in Gemini, which is the signature of something being said suddenly and not being able to be unsaid.
Pisces is compassion, imagination, faith and the dream. It is also the blur.
In business terms, this eclipse comes for the over-giving.
The discount you offered because she sounded stressed on the call. The session that ran forty minutes over, again. The price you set from empathy instead of value. The voice note that turned into forty minutes of free consulting. The vision you have been holding for two years, waiting to feel ready enough to name it out loud.
The Sun opposite in Virgo shows the medicine, and it’s unromantic: a boundary, a finishing time, a number, a system.
If the fortnight around 28 August brings something to the surface, let it come. Write it down. Then give yourself a week before you act on it.
Put the two together
March said stop over-working. August says stop over-giving.
Read alongside this year’s solar eclipses, the picture gets sharper. The Leo and Aquarius solar pair asked what your business looks like from the outside, and where your authority is being asked to grow. The Virgo and Pisces lunar pair asks what it costs you on the inside to keep it running.
Solar eclipses change what your business does. Lunar eclipses change what you’re willing to keep carrying.

What these eclipses have done in my own business
I don’t teach this from theory. I read it in my own chart first, and then I lived it.
March’s eclipse at 12 degrees Virgo fell in the first house of my business chart and Virgo sits intercepted there.
In my own natal chart, the same degree landed in my twelfth house. Hospitals, grief, retreat, and everything that happens out of sight.
It also sat square my business Sun at 12 degrees of Gemini, in the tenth house of public work, less than a degree from exact.
I was in the middle of my Level 2 launch. I’d set a six-figure goal, which I hadn’t achieved in a long time.
Then a dear friend died. She was well known, so the grief didn’t stay private the way grief usually does. Every time I opened my laptop to work on the launch, there she was in my feed.
Then I hurt my back and ended up in hospital.
And underneath it all, the ads were running, which meant mean comments from strangers who had no idea what my week had been like or the depth of my work. On a normal week I would scroll past or delete. That was not a normal week.
A total lunar eclipse in Virgo, in my twelfth house, square the Sun of my business, in the middle of a launch. Health, the daily body, grief, and the things that happen behind the scenes, all arriving at once.
Here’s what it took from me: the perfect launch. There was no version of that fortnight where I executed the way I’d planned to. I did what I could, badly in places, and let the rest go.
The launch met the six-figure goal anyway.
I want to be careful here, because I’m not going to tell you that losing my friend was a growth opportunity. It wasn’t. It was grief, and it still is.
But the launch is worth looking at, because it settled an argument I’d been having with myself for years. It held because there was something built underneath it. Sequences already written. A launch team who knew what to do without me. A model that didn’t require me to be brilliant every day.
The launch didn’t hold because I pushed through it. It held because I’d built something that could carry the work at a time when I couldn’t.
That’s the Virgo south node lesson delivered at full volume. Put down the belief that your effort is the thing holding it all up, and build the thing that holds it instead.
Then there’s August. That eclipse at just under 5 degrees of Pisces falls in my business seventh house, within five degrees of my business Neptune. Clients and partnerships. Neptune in Pisces there is why the one to one work has always felt a little unstable because one person being available is a fragile thing to build on.
In my natal chart, the same degree lands in my sixth house. Daily work, health, and the people who help you carry it.
March taught me that in the least abstract way available. The parts of the business that had been built to run without me ran without me. The parts that hadn’t, didn’t.
So this year I brought support coaches into the Mastermind, so the room is held even on the weeks I’m not the one holding it. The next piece I’m looking at is a coach who works with members on implementation, the doing of the thing in between the strategy sessions. I stay where I belong, on the strategy and the chart. Members get more support rather than less. And nothing pauses because I’m unwell, or travelling, or grieving.
That’s the question a Pisces eclipse in the seventh house asks once you strip the romance off it. Does the care survive a fortnight where you are not okay?
That’s what the two flavours of eclipse do when you read them together. One shows you the direction. The other shows you the bill.
Look back to look forward
This Virgo and Pisces eclipse series opened on 17 September 2024 at 25 degrees of Pisces and has been walking backwards through the axis ever since. August’s eclipse at 5 degrees Pisces is the sixth of seven. One more Virgo lunar eclipse in February 2027 closes the story.
There’s also a longer rhythm worth using. Lunar eclipses land at nearly the same degrees roughly every eighteen to nineteen years. The last time these two arrived was March and August of 2007, and before that 1988.
Think back. What was being reorganised in your work in the second half of 2007? What did you put down, or refuse to put down? The themes rarely repeat exactly, but they rhyme. Very often the thread you were pulling then is the same one being handed back to you now, at a higher turn of the spiral.
How to find the eclipse impact on your business
Here’s how to make this yours rather than generic.
Find 12 degrees of Virgo and 5 degrees of Pisces in your business chart, and note which houses they fall in. Those two rooms of your business are the ones under the light this year.
Then look for anything sitting within about four degrees of those points, so roughly 9 to 17 degrees of Virgo and 1 to 9 degrees of Pisces. If an eclipse closely touches one of your business’s planets or angles, you’ll feel this story far more directly, and the nature of that planet tells you how it plays out.
Don’t stop at the conjunctions. Look at those same degrees of Gemini and Sagittarius, because anything sitting there squares the eclipse axis, and squares behave differently. A conjunction takes something away. A square keeps pressing on the same spot until you build something there.
Here’s mine, so you can see the method rather than just the instruction.
August’s eclipse at just under 5 degrees of Pisces squares my business Mercury at 7 degrees of Gemini, which sits on the midheaven in the ninth house. Publishing, teaching, writing. It also squares my business Saturn at the very start of Sagittarius, in the third house, which is the placement that governs writing discipline and daily communication. And transiting Uranus is sitting right there in early Gemini, squaring the eclipse from the same corner of the sky.
What all of that is pressing on, for me, is the book.
The book is mapped and I’m self publishing it, which means there is no publisher’s deadline holding me to anything. Nobody is imposing a structure on this but me. What I haven’t solved is the writing rhythm. The hours keep getting eaten by the business, and I’ve been treating that as a willpower problem, which it never was. Saturn in the third house has no interest in whether I want it more. Saturn wants a container. A standing time in the diary, protected the way I would protect a client session.
There’s a timing note in it too. Uranus stations retrograde on 10 September a degree short of my business Mercury and doesn’t actually reach it until 2027. The book is being knocked on rather than opened. That’s useful information, because it tells me this year’s job is to build the structure, not to finish the manuscript.
Working with the rest of this eclipse season
You don’t need to restructure your business by 28 August. You don’t need to make a decision on the day, or force anything into the window.
What you need is to be honest about what surfaces, and then to build something different on the other side of it.
For a lot of astrologers, the thing that surfaces is the same thing every time. The income resets to zero on the first of every month, no matter how good the readings are, no matter how full the calendar was in July. That’s the reading treadmill, and it’s built into the model rather than into you.
