Six weeks to find out whether your pricing and your client relationships hold their value when the magnetism drops.

The enquiries slow down. A past client you haven’t heard from in a year lands in your inbox. Someone asks, very politely, whether you could do it for a little less.

If you’ve been in practice for a while, you know this pattern. You’ve probably been told what to do about it too: don’t sell, don’t launch, don’t touch your prices, wait it out.

For an astrologer whose income already resets every month, wait it out sounds a lot like six weeks of lying awake wondering how you’ll pay your bills.

Venus stations retrograde on 3 October 2026 at 8°29′ Scorpio, and Mercury joins her on 24 October. Here is what this retrograde is asking of your business, the dates and degrees to put in your diary, and how to come out the other side with stronger income than you went in with.

Venus retrograde doesn’t put your money under threat. It puts it under review.

Venus retrograde 2026: the dates and degrees

Dates are given in US time. In Australia and Asia, both direct stations land on 14 November.

What Venus retrograde reviews in a business

In business astrology, Venus is your magnetism and your money: what you charge, who you attract, and how easily payment moves towards you. She rules the 2nd house of income and the 7th house of clients and contracts.

Every 18 months or so, she turns retrograde for about six weeks and the question changes. It stops being how do I attract more? and becomes does what I already have hold its value?

Three things go under review: your pricing, your existing client relationships, and the money already owed to you. This is why past clients reappear. Venus retrograde has a habit of handing you back the people you’ve already served, so you can see what you built with them.

The three windows: observe, renegotiate, commit

A retrograde is three periods, and the shadow on either side matters as much as the six weeks in the middle.

1. Pre-shadow, 31 August to 3 October: observe. If a pricing irritation or a client wobble has surfaced since September, that’s the issue this retrograde is here to sort. Notice it. Don’t act yet.
2. Retrograde, 3 October to 13 November: renegotiate. Review, repair, re-price on paper, and reopen conversations.
3. Post-shadow, 13 November to 15 December: commit. The decisions you made in the middle window now hold. This is when you act on them.

When someone tells you to avoid Venus retrograde, they’ve usually blocked out six weeks. The full cycle runs closer to fifteen. Seeing the whole shape is what lets you plan around it rather than panic in the middle of it.

Scorpio, then Libra: two different money audits

This retrograde splits across two signs, and each one asks a different question of your income.

Venus retrograde in Scorpio, 3 to 25 October: what’s underneath.

Scorpio is the Alchemist of the zodiac. In business it governs pricing power, premium positioning, and the depth most people won’t go to. With Venus retrograde here, the question is what is really going on under your numbers. Where are you undercharging for transformational work? Which offer earns its keep, and which one just keeps you busy? Scorpio wants the actual figure, not the story you tell yourself about it.

The midpoint, 23 to 24 October.

The Sun conjuncts retrograde Venus at the very start of Scorpio. Astrologers treat this as the heart of the cycle, the moment the Venus story resets. In business terms, it’s a strong day to sit down with your numbers and name the one change you’ll make once Venus is direct.

Venus retrograde in Libra, 25 October to 13 November: the terms of the relationship.

When Venus re-enters Libra, the audit moves from the figures to the agreements. Who are you discounting for to keep the peace? Which partnership has drifted out of balance? Where does your business accommodate everyone except you? Libra’s growth edge is making a decision and standing behind it.

Mercury retrograde joins in: 24 October to 13 November

On 24 October Mercury stations retrograde at 20°59′ Scorpio and travels back to 5°02′ Scorpio. Where Venus reviews the money, Mercury reviews the message: your copy, your contracts, your tech, and anything that depends on being understood correctly.

For three weeks the two overlap, so your value and your message are under review at the same time. That’s rare, and useful. Rewrite the sales page you’ve been avoiding. Reread the terms before anyone signs. Back up the files.

Then the best part. Mercury and Venus both station direct on 13 November, so two review cycles finish on the same day. That’s your green light, and the post-shadow that follows is the window to act on everything you’ve decided.

If your business was born with Mercury retrograde, these may be your best three weeks. A business born with Mercury retrograde does its best work by return: the second draft, the rewritten page, the relaunch. When Mercury turns retrograde by transit, the business is being asked to do something it already knows how to do. Check your business chart before you put the next three weeks on hold.

How to use Venus retrograde to your advantage

Go back to the people who already know you. Venus retrograde is a poor window for cold audiences and an excellent one for warm ones. List the clients and students you’ve worked with in the last two years. Send each a personal note with a specific next step, such as the follow-up work you’d recommend for them now, rather than a vague check-in.

Do the pricing review now and raise the price after. Work out what your prices should be and write them down. Then announce them after 13 November, when the decision holds. A price reviewed in the retrograde and committed after it lands with conviction.

Collect what you’re owed. Venus reviews receivables as well as revenue. Chase the outstanding invoice. Follow up the payment plan that’s gone silent. It’s money you’ve already earned.

Re-present what you already have. Before building anything new, look at the offers you already sell. Which one deserves a refresh, a clearer description, or a package around it?

Check whether your business was born with Venus retrograde. If Venus is retrograde in your business chart, this window may work in your favour. The business already knows how to operate this way: value that settles over time, relationships that deepen on the second approach. Check before you write off six weeks that could be your most productive of the quarter.

What not to do during Venus retrograde

Hold brand-new offers back from cold audiences until the post-shadow if you can. Don’t discount from panic, because a price dropped in fear is hard to climb back from. And don’t raise prices mid-retrograde: decide now, announce after 13 November.

Once Mercury turns on 24 October, read every partnership or contractor agreement twice before you sign. And leave the full visual rebrand for later. Venus rules aesthetics, and a brand redesigned in the retrograde tends to get second-guessed in the new year.

The one that matters most: don’t switch your business off for six weeks. My own rule is simple. The no-selling window applies to live launches only. My free workshop, my scorecard and my nurture emails keep running right through it, because a business that stops every time a planet turns can’t earn consistently. There will never be a perfect time, just the best available time.

Where Venus retrograde lands in your business chart

Across the whole cycle, Venus covers 22°52′ Libra to 8°29′ Scorpio, and Mercury retrogrades between 20°59′ and 5°02′ Scorpio. Find the house or houses in your business chart that hold those degrees. That’s the area of your business under review.

Then check for prominent contact. A station within 4° of an angle, your Sun or Moon, or your chart ruler matters far more than the period as a whole. The four station degrees to check are 8°29′ Scorpio and 22°52′ Libra for Venus, and 20°59′ and 5°02′ Scorpio for Mercury.

If nothing sits within 4°, this retrograde is weather, not the headline of your year. Note the house, back up the files, and carry on.

What Venus retrograde looks like in my business

In the Business Astrology Academy chart, this whole retrograde activates the 2nd house of income. Venus rules that house, and she also rules the 9th house of publishing. The North Node sits in the 2nd too, which makes values-aligned money the soul path of this business. So for me this is a money-and-publishing review, aimed straight at what the business is here to grow into.

Here’s what I’m doing with it. I’m not raising prices and I’m not launching anything new. I’m going back to past students and clients, re-presenting the work I already offer, and doing my own pricing review on paper. While Mercury is retrograde, I’m updating modules for my Level 2 Advanced Business Astrology Certification. The money intention gets planted now. The action comes after 13 November.

The Mercury retrograde is the part I’m looking forward to. My business was born with Mercury retrograde at 7° Gemini, sitting right on the Midheaven, the angle of public reputation. Every workbook in my certification has been rewritten. The certification itself is on its second architecture. For a long time I read that as a perfectionism problem. It isn’t. It’s the chart doing exactly what it was built to do, because the work improves by return. So when Mercury turns retrograde on 24 October, I’m not bracing for it. I’m booking in the edit.

When Venus last retrograded, in early 2025, I wrote here that growth often comes from nurturing what is already in motion. I still believe that. I’d add one thing: what’s in motion needs somewhere to go.

The real lesson of Venus retrograde

Here’s the question underneath all of this. When Venus sends you back to your past clients, is there anywhere for them to go?

If every client is a single reading, Venus retrograde feels uncomfortable for a reason. There’s no next step to invite them into, so reaching back feels like asking for a favour rather than offering something. It is not you. It is the model. One-off readings reset your income to zero every month, and a retrograde makes that reset harder to ignore.
