You might have heard people talk about being in alignment in their business or during a launch. But what does it mean and how can you achieve it? Launch alignment feels different to everyone but for me, it feels ‘light’, ‘in flow’, ‘energised’ and somewhat ‘effortless’. This doesn’t mean there is no work involved, simply that the work to be done flows easily.
For example this week I had the inspiration to create a local in-person monthly sister circle. I checked in with some local groups and the interest was phenomenal. Then I decided I needed a venue and without much effort found an amazing venue close to me. Then I even had someone email and offer to help me run it (which I had secretly thought to myself would be amazing – hello synchronicity!). I put together a sales page easily and effortlessly and I’ve had people out of the blue asking me about when it will open for registration. I’ve even sourced a sponsor of gifts for the first event.
On the flip side, launch misalignment might feel uncomfortable, heavy or hard. This could lead to ineffective communications, failure to meet launch goals or feelings of fear and lack.
I’ve experienced this too – like when you create something due to money or cash flow anxiety but that deep down you don’t really want to create or run. You can feel in your chest or belly that it just isn’t right but you don’t listen and “forge” ahead and lo and behold you have no sales or barely enough to make it worth it. And afterwards you think “Damn I should have listened to my intuition!” Sound familiar?!
Because it’s so important to stay aligned during your launch I’ve created a four step process to support you.
To stay aligned during your launch, all four elements of the Launch Goddess Alignment Path should be in harmony and reinforcing each other.
Launch Beliefs
Your Launch Beliefs are conscious and subconscious beliefs that you have about launching. When your launch beliefs are negative or limiting, they put you out of launch alignment.
Some examples of negative launch beliefs include:
- “Launching is so hard”
- “I always get sick during a launch” (if so, you might like this blog post)
- “Selling is sleazy” (if this is one your launch beliefs, you might like this blog post)
- “I don’t want to send emails because people will unsubscribe”
- “No-one wants this anyway”
These launch beliefs must be shifted to experience launch alignment.
Here are some other common mindset blocks and how you can overcome them.
One in alignment is more powerful than a million that are not – Abraham Hicks Click To TweetLaunch Thoughts and Words
Your launch thoughts and words are different to your launch beliefs.
While launch beliefs are things that you fundamentally believe about launching, launch thoughts and words are less ingrained and tend to come and go depending on the day and how you are feeling.
You might for example say to your partner “this launch is not going well” or think to yourself “I can’t do this”.
Similar to launch beliefs, these also need to be recognised, reframed and shifted in order to experience launch alignment.
Launch Embodiment
Launch embodiment is about feeling into your launch goals and ensuring that you are aligned from a body wisdom perspective.
A quiet mind is able to hear intuition over fear. Click To TweetLaunch embodiment draws on the practices of meditation and intuition to feel into the reaction that our body has in relation to different products, launch goals and launch approaches.
Practicing embodiment ensures that our body (and soul) is aligned with what we are doing in our launch.
I learnt a lot about launch embodiment in the first year of my mastermind when the participants asked me to prepare an alumni offer for them. I really didn’t feel aligned to this as it was never meant to be a multi-year offering but I did it anyway.
Leading up to the last mastermind workshop where I was due to present the offer, I got really sick with a massive infection and I could barely talk.
At the end of the workshop I presented the offer and my hands were literally shaking – when normally I can present to a group without a problem. It just didn’t feel right, it felt heavy and like it would take me away from giving my all to the next group.
No surprises here, I had no sign-ups to the alumni offer!
I do know that if I had practiced launch embodiment with this offering then I would have known it wasn’t in alignment.
However, I didn’t listen to my body and it caused me to feel nervous, fail to magnetize sales – and I even got sick!
Launch Action
Finally, every action that we take during a launch must be in alignment with our launch goals, intentions and values.
We can have great beliefs and thoughts and practice embodiment but if we don’t take aligned action towards our goals then we still won’t get the results we desire.
We need to check in regularly and ask ourselves:
- Does this feel authentic?
- Does this feel honest and real?
- Am I comfortable with this strategy or tactic?
- Does this align with my ethics?
- Am I respecting my audience?
- What does my tribe most need to hear from me right now?
These questions are a great guide for keeping your actions and communications aligned during your launch!
And when you put these four elements together – Launch Beliefs, Launch Thoughts and Words, Launch Embodiment and Launch Action – then we are able to achieve launch alignment!
