Wondering how to create your next offering so that you can start to launch? When I first started teaching about soulful launching, I was aware that a lot of my community weren’t at the stage where they were ready to launch. Either they didn’t have an online program to launch, were still in the midst of creating it or didn’t feel ready to create an online program.
But if you’ve been here for a while then I’ve hopefully convinced you that launching is suitable and smart for everyone with a business. Whether you have an online program or group coaching packages or 1:1 services, launching is always a strategic decision.
So if you’re ready to explore the wonderful world of launching and want to create your next offering… here are the four steps that you need to take!
Step 1 to create your next offering: Get clear on your idea
Before I started to teach soulful launching, I used to be known for e-Courses. And when you’re known for something, people start asking you lots and lots of questions about it…
The questions were wide and varied, but even then, right from the get-go, one topic came up more than any other…
How do I choose an idea?
How do I know if my idea is worth pursuing?
I’ve got so many ideas, and I think they could all work… how do I make a decision?
I really want to create some passive income in my business, but I just can’t come up with an idea – any words of advice?
To be completely honest, at first I didn’t quite understand these questions! I’d never had any problem coming up with ideas for my programs, and when I’d had more than one idea to choose from, I’d never had any struggles honing in on which choice was going to be the best for me, my business, and my audience.
But when you receive as many emails on the one topic as I did, it causes you to look a lot more closely at it. What on earth was I missing? Why were so many people struggling?
Then I realised… the reason I never had any problems was because I was intuitively going through a specific series of steps to come up with my ideas, and then to evaluate them.
This series of steps included:
- Getting to know my community and understanding what they most desired
- Being creative and brainstorming a wide range of potential ideas
- Evaluating all of my ideas based on key criteria for success
- Selecting an idea and moving forward with it
And that, quite simply, is how I’ve come up with all the ideas in my business (that includes six-figure right through to million dollar ideas!)

Step 2 to create your next offering: Get clear on your positioning
Once you have an idea for your next offering, it’s time to position it. Now I know that ‘positioning’ can seem like a very fancy concept but it all comes down to two main questions.
- What is the main purpose or intention of this offering?
- How do I want people to feel when they engage with this offering?
If the purpose of your offering is to offer an affordable alternative to working with you then you would be looking at entry-level offering that is simple and priced at a lower price point.
Or if you want your customer to feel really supported or cared for when they engage with your offering then you would be looking at a high-level or premium offering with lots of 1:1 time with you (and priced accordingly).

So before you start getting carried away with elaborate positioning strategies, make sure that you’re clear on those two questions. This will also help you in the next part!
Step 3 to create your next offering: Get clear on the package
Now that you have an idea and you know how you’re going to position it, it’s time to package it up.
Packaging is intimately related to your positioning and when your package isn’t aligned with your positioning strategy… then trouble can occur.
It wouldn’t make sense to include one-on-one sessions or an in-person workshop for an entry-level offering.
And if your positioning is high-level or premium then you’ll want to make sure that you are giving your customers and clients some added bonuses like one-on-one time with you or beautiful gifts in the mail.
Remember: there’s no ‘right’ way to package your offering but it must make sense to your potential customers and clients!

Step 4 to create your next offering: Get clear on your pricing
According to many conversations with my community, pricing is one of the hardest parts of creating a new offering. Whether that’s an online program or a new coaching offering or even a meditation bundle…
So I want to share some tips with you!
First up, pricing has nothing to do with your own self-worth so please don’t beat yourself up because you think your pricing should be higher or lower. You are always worthy – whether you charge $99 or $1999 for your offering!
In fact, there are many things to consider when pricing your offering and none of them have to do with your worth.
This brings me to my second tip… pricing is directly related to the desired positioning and the packaging of your offering. So if you haven’t gotten clear on your strategic positioning strategy or drafted a plan for exactly how you are going to deliver your offering… then pricing your offering will be difficult!
And that’s exactly why pricing is the fourth step of creating your offering and the fourth (and final) topic that we cover in Launch Like A Pro Prep School!
