Creating an eCourse is an excellent way to share your knowledge and passion in a leveraged way. You’ll already know how important it is to choose an eCourse idea that is right – one that is inspiring and motivating for you, and one that is also wanted and needed by your ideal clients.
How do you ensure that you’re aligned to your eCourse? These five step from Kinesiologist Kerry Rowett will help.
1. Ensure you choose an eCourse idea that inspires and motivates you
You might have an eCourse idea that you think will make money, or even that you think your readers or clients will like, but unless it truly inspires and motivates you, you’re going to find it a challenge to carry the idea through to fruition and have a successful launch. And you’re unlikely to want to run it again.
When you think about your eCourse you want to have a sense of ease and stability. You’ll want to feel like you can go deeper and further with this idea; that you’ll be happy to write and talk about it well beyond the time it will take you to create the course. Ideally, you will feel like you’re an expert in this area and will be happy to further develop that expert status.
Writing and talking about the concepts you teach in your eCourse helps give your course life and energy and creates greater alignment, so be honest with yourself about your true level of interest and depth of knowledge of your topic.
2. Get clear on how you want to feel about your eCourse
Supportive beliefs create more alignment. Write a list of beliefs you want to embody as you create your eCourse and reinforce them regularly.
You might choose beliefs like:
- Creating this eCourse is easy and fulfilling for me
- I know the incredible value all participants in my course will gain
- My creativity flows with ease
- I am connected to my message
- I feel clear, focused and motivated as I create this course
- I know exactly what to do
3. Visualise participants enjoying and engaging with your eCourse
When working online it can be easy to disconnect from the real world experience your clients will have of choosing to sign up to your eCourse and engaging with the materials you have expertly and lovingly created.
Allow yourself to visualise and imagine people connecting with your eCourse. What will they say as they find your eCourse?
“This is just what I need! What perfect timing!”
How will they feel about the eCourse content?
“I’m getting so much out of this! This is just what I need to know. This makes so much sense. I’m going to implement this right away. It was such a great decision to do this!”
This positive energy will flow into what you’re creating.
4. Stay in flow
It can be easy to get thrown off balance when creating and launching an eCourse.
Things will probably take longer than you expect. Technical dramas (of some description) are likely to occur at some point. You will inevitably be surprised at the workload involved in creating and launching an eCourse – even if you’ve done it before. You will likely freak out at how much you’re investing with no guaranteed return.
All these things can take you out of alignment – unless you can accept they can all be part of creating and launching an eCourse – even for those who launch highly successful eCourses. Don’t excessively attach. Stay focused on your initial intention and your overall goal and keep gracefully moving forwards.
It’s hard to do your best work when you’re feeling stressed, anxious, overwhelmed or in fear. Do what you can to support a sense of flow and ease – play music, eat beautiful food, take walks, burn candles, oil or incense, do some yoga or other movement. Allow yourself more time to create the eCourse than you think you’ll need.
Don’t be tempted to “push through” and forget about your health for the sake of your eCourse. There are always ramifications of this kind of approach and your health and happiness are worth more.
5. Get aligned with a Kinesiologist.
A Kinesiologist can help you get clear on what you really desire – and help you align to it.
You can take your goals along to your Kinesiology session.
You might select goals like:
- “I am 100% aligned to my using my gifts and talents to make a wonderful eCourse.”
- “I know I can create and sell a successful eCourse.”
- “I am aligned to attracting at least X number of beautiful participants to my eCourse.”
Your Kinesiologist will help you identify and clear blocks to your goals around your eCourse, and help you come into a more balanced and confident state. And of course it’s so much easier to create and promote an eCourse when you’re feeling clear and positive.
Try to avoid waiting until you’re in overwhelm or panic mode before booking a session! And know that as soon as you book a session, the process of shifting has already begun.
